Test your staff's competence in medication administration
The Opus online competency assessment tests your staff’s proficiency in medicines handling to provide evidence of their competencies for the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Our online alternative to time-consuming in-house assessments has been specifically designed to provide a simple and straightforward test of care staff’s medication handling capabilities. It takes just 30 minutes to complete and its content is constantly updated to reflect latest best practice and guidance.
Why use an Opus online competency assessment?
- to prove that your staff are competent to administer medicines safely
- to ensure the safety of service users
-
to provide evidence to CQC
- to use as a refresher or to identify any learning needs
- to help with your recruitment or induction process
- to save you the time and trouble of organising and managing the assessment process
Each assessment is made up of a series of five video sequences simulating a typical care working scenario in which a given number of errors in the administration of medicines must be identified. Multiple choice questions are also included to test current knowledge and experience against real life situations.
The outcome is a learning needs report which details the competence level attained and, for managers, a skills analysis identifying any areas that require additional training or supervision.
